I’d like to introduce you to my hashtag on Instagram: #InclusiveFood. It’s a subject dear to my heart, because food is best shared with people you care about. Nothing brings […]

Another milestone in our year of change – A’s first half term break. It wasn’t only her that was more than ready for it. Life has felt extremely full in […]

Pumpkin & Cardamom Cake (Gluten Free & Vegan-Friendly)

September 26, 2018by Carly B Talbot Leave a comment

I may be alone, but I’m actually rather enjoying the Great British Bake Off since it moved channels. Those commercial breaks offer the chance for a top up of tea, […]

Walnut-Crusted Baked Arancini with Sun-dried Tomato

September 18, 2018by Carly B Talbot Leave a comment

I’m sorry, I know I won’t win over any purists, but this lighter take on the indulgent fried and crumbed risotto-balls have made it onto the ‘regulars’ list at home, and […]

To Baby D, at One

August 28, 2018by Carly B Talbot Leave a comment

Oh Bug, I can’t believe you are one year old! All of the cliches are true: like ‘where did that year go?’ and ‘who is this little person where there […]

Wondering how we got through this week. Chocolate played a not-insignificant part. 😅
Commuter scenes that didn’t really happen, although the absence of train is somewhat accurate. I think I’ve spent approximately double the amount of time negotiating transport woes as doing anything productive this week. Sadly no day off for me tomorrow but a last minute rush to do All The Things before we go away instead. Bring on the holiday! (📷 taken for @palavafolk, dresses borrowed). #igerswindsor
I made a start ✨ - quite a big one! The cards are in the post and we enjoyed a pre-Christmas dinner with all the trimmings today with some family members. There may even have been a few cheeky presents exchanged 🙊 🎁
School Christmas fair ✅😅 Now I probably ought to put my mind to our own Christmas and the fact that we’re off skiing in a week and I need to fit quite a lot of work in between now and then!
I haven’t done any food photography for ages, so these are last year’s pancakes - but we’re having the same ones this morning ✨ I make this recipe almost weekly when I feed my sourdough starter: I cup cold discarded starter 1cup milk/dairy free milk 1 cup GF flour blend left to ferment overnight. In the morning I add 1tbsp ground flaxseed, 1 tbsp sugar, a glug of oil and a little bicarb and baking powder for All of the Fluff. The kids will eat 4 or 5 a piece 🙈
Engage festive cheer mode. 🌲 #palavamyway #wreathwatchwindsor
Viennese whirl(ish)s. 🎄✨ just a straight sub from a standard recipe for GF flour blend and DF butter. A was making audible “mmmmm” sounds eating these.
Woah life got a bit busy there for a moment! Sadly I’ve not had as much time as I’d like for foodie fun lately, you’ll just have to take my word for it that there has been a lot of comforting soup, on repeat. Here’s another little picture we took for @palavafolk at one of the lovely Windsor train stations recently. I honestly thought I had longer before A started stealing my clothes - that’s my hat! 🚂
